Featured in the second part of Campaign mode, the city of Stalingrad (now called Volgograd) and surrounding plains are featured in this map, along with the magnificent Volga river. The German army was defeated here during the bloody battle of Stalingrad in 1942.
The Volga river runs along the south side of the map, angled slightly towards the northwest, a small section of the other side can be reached via a bridge. The river has several barges with four tanks each, the tanks are not featured in the game, and appears to be the IS-2 heavy tank used after the battle of Stalingrad. The city center of Stalingrad is situated at the north bank of the Volga, Featuring a city square surrounded by damaged buildings and a crashed BF-109 fighter.
A snowy mountain looms over the eastern side of the city center, it can be accessed partially with a upgraded Hellcat or Type 1. The whole map could be viewed from the 'waist' of the mountain. Over the west of the city are parts of the Volga river and it's system of smaller flows.

The battle of Stalingrad was fought between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union during 1942 to 1943, It was the single most bloodiest battle in history and ended Hitler's dream of conquering Europe. Nearly two million soldiers and a million soviet civilians died during the violent and terrifying battle that lasted for six month.
Adolf Hitler realized the importance of the Volga river, Allied reinforcement and Lend-Lease equipment flooded from the Caspian Sea via the Volga, and Stalingrad's factories were producing thousand of armored vehicle and artillery pieces. The German offensive started from early August. 200'000 men and 600 tanked rushed toward the Volga, 700 aircraft bombed the entire city of Stalingrad relentlessly and turned 2/3 of it into rubble.
By November German soldiers soon finds themselves stuck in the city of Stalingrad, fighting close quarter combat during the freezing winter of Russia. The Red army seizes the opportunity and fills the battlefield with 800'000 reinforcements and 7000 armored vehicles. The reinforcements attacked the German flanks, trapping it in a killing zone. Soviet forces execute operation Uranus in late November, 1.1 million men and 9000 armored vehicles stormed the trapped Axis forces.
By late January, 1943, Axis forced trapped inside were exhausted, and eventually surrendered. Almost a million axis soldiers and 1500 German tanks were wiped out, the Axis power never recovered from this loss, and Hitler's hope of conquering the world was shatter here, at Stalingrad.
